Aljo. Regarding this players comments. I have to say. That the poke checking, and sweep checking element of the game is also an issue. The AI can poke check continually, while in control of my one controllable player. I find it near impossible to poke check. I have always found it weird, that when the AI opponent does poke check, the puck is not knocked away, but rather it ends up on its stick. Like a magnet drawing metal to it.

We don't get many reports that poke checks aren't working. Personally, I'm having no issues with them.
The puck will be picked up normally by the player in the best position. When a defender pokes, often they are backskating. If they don't get a solid enough poke on it, it won't move much. The defender is skating away while the offensive player is skating towards it. Player ratings are also a factor with who picks it up.
This is why I need to see video. We really can only make assumptions without it.
