Community ManagerThanks! This just makes it a lot easier to send over to the team due to file size limits. I'll pass this on to the team and let you know when I have some details. I assume it's like you're saying, the puck is loose so a trip won't occur since they aren't technically in possession of it.
Edit: Since the puck is hit first, there's no penalty. Had the puck been missed and the leg was hit, a trip could be called. If your poke is initiated before the launch of the puck, it's aimed at where the puck was previously. If you poke when the move happens, it's aimed at the puck. Most likely, there would be a frustrating amount of penalties if we let pokes that hit the puck first and then the leg cause a trip.
That is exactly what I am saying Aljo. When the puck leaves the stick the puck is no longer in possession by the player and so (and I am guessing here) there "tripping state allow" is then set to 0 as opposed to 1 when they have it.
As for the examples, I do agree that at least the first one, the stick hits the skate first but the fact that they are performing this while skating opposite of my momentum is my issue here. Meanwhile, in another example that happened today, I MAYBE hit their skate here but I am skating with their momentum so it shouldn't be as much of a swing speed to warrant a trip. There are inconsistencies I feel. Anyways I look forward to hearing about the above it is in fact impossible to trip someone who is mid deke animation while the puck is not in their possession.
