That is exactly what I am saying Aljo. When the puck leaves the stick the puck is no longer in possession by the player and so (and I am guessing here) there "tripping state allow" is then set to 0 as opposed to 1 when they have it.
As for the examples, I do agree that at least the first one, the stick hits the skate first but the fact that they are performing this while skating opposite of my momentum is my issue here. Meanwhile, in another example that happened today, I MAYBE hit their skate here but I am skating with their momentum so it shouldn't be as much of a swing speed to warrant a trip. There are inconsistencies I feel. Anyways I look forward to hearing about the above it is in fact impossible to trip someone who is mid deke animation while the puck is not in their possession.
