If someone is legitimately cheating at the game, we need to see this. A high percentage shot or exploiting LT/L2 are not cheating, but people often claim they are.
Get out of here. High percentage... When a team is obvious with it, they are scoring absolute beach balls from anywhere. In the corner behind the goal on a back hand with no momentum and not even facing goal? No problem. At the blue line on a backhand facing away from goal while skating away from a check? No problem.
God forbid they're actually able to face the goal and shoot, that's 99% going in against illegitimate teams.
To the White Knight or Cheater trying to run interference and claim that coincidentally higher ranked teams tend to be more skilled - please - everyone knows that the higher you go in the ranks of ANY game these days - the higher the percentage of cheating - Top tiers of ANY ONLINE GAME right now is infested with cheaters.
Honestly I'm not sure what your argument is, that there is ZERO cheating in NHL - Or any game? - Obviously cheating exists in every online game - Even something like Valorant with absolutely obsessed Devs. Are you trying to claim NHL is somehow immune to this with the ABSOLUTELY ZERO effort made to combat cheating? Get real.
I posted a most recent clip in another thread I started showing a team that was just body checking our goalie out of the net all game just to really rub it in. I chose this clip because any other clip I show, some white knight or cheater can just say, well that's RNG, or some other nonsense.
The real problem is that if community managers are out here running interference and trying to gaslight on the issue, then we can all save our money on 26, because we know they are part of the problem that will keep things exactly as they are. And how they are is the dwindling of NHL and fair online play.
Anyway. It's up to the DEVS at the end of the day. Do something about it, or watch the game continue to turn to dust. If you want to kill it off, keep doing nothing like you have been. You have people that have been gaming since the franchise started trying to give you honest feedback, and you're deciding on this course of action as a response. So be it.

I don't want to dog-pile here, but if you're running into people you think are cheating, post the video.
I've never seen in-game cheating. People taking advantage of meta weaknesses in the AI goalies? Sure. Bad bounces? Yup. Terrible goals because the AI goalie temporarily loses their mind? Absolutely. All frustrating, but nothing approaching cheating. Even with things like skating and hitting, I've never seen anything that could only be explained by cheating. Exploiting bugs in the game to create unrealistic skating or hitting? Yes, but nothing that would indicate anything else.
The only thing I've ever seen in EASHL I'd consider cheating is the goalie-pull spam disconnect exploit and that was a long time ago.

Very likely I’m wrong here but is there not some kinda way to call a timeout at a certain time and have it screw up the other persons energy? Just a yes or no is good as I’d rather not advertise it here if it still exists. That’s really the only thing I’d classify as cheating cause if I remember correctly it needed to be timed properly. Obviously not a big deal as you only get the one time out and would probably only be used if your losing but as far as cheating, that’s the only thing I could consider even a possibility

Yes, this shouldn't happen. You can't be checking the goalie out of the crease to score. So far, I've only seen your video of it. I've never seen it happen in any of my own games. I'm not saying it's not an issue though. Most likely, a very rare one. Regardless, it needs to be addressed.

Show me a video of someone able to do this whenever they want. Like real hockey, flukey goals are going to happen. And of course this being a video game, it's entirely possible something will happen under just the right conditions that's going to lead to something unintended occurring. That's the nature of software in general.

I'm not saying NHL is immune to it. I'm just asking you to show us where someone is legitimately cheating.

Explain this from gkai613. I rest my case.

As I said on one of your other messages about this, I believe that has been resolved.

And what role did your defence play in these goals? Got a clip?

Post a clip of you executing these successive times with the rate of success you claim.

Prove this.

I'm sorry... "illegitimate teams"?

Coping 101. You're playing opponents that are likely more skilled than you. Rather than admit that, you're defaulting to the idea they're 'cheating'. This is called Cope.

Once again, this community comes through with "I'm going to tell you what you're saying". Nobody ever said "there is ZERO cheating in any game".
You're conflating the abuse of mechanics with cheating. These are not the same. You have the same ability to utilize the mechanics in a way that fits your play style too. Seeing an opponent who has mastered the nuance of any given mechanic to get the most out of it is not 'cheating'. It's called 'being really good at the videogame'. There's a segment of this population who think their 'hockey IQ' is so high that the only reason they're being beaten by anyone is because of 'cheating' or 'abuse'.

Can you at least provide a link to the topic so we're not forced to search through the forums for this?

Gaslight you? LOL. The game has changed a lot over the years and if you don't notice that, it would explain why you think people are 'cheating' if they're using mechanics you haven't noticed to get a better outcome. It makes sense now.

Just because you're not getting the response YOU want doesn't mean they aren't listening to feedback.
