Be A Pro Crashes

It would be great if I could play through one full season, let alone several seasons or a career, without it happening. Looking through the rest of the threads on this same issue, I’m far from the only one it’s happening to. I’ve never had a problem in other years of NHL or any other non-NHL game, so it’s not like my hardware is causing corruptions. It’s only in NHL25 Be a Pro. 

So I went ahead and started a new Be a Pro career from scratch. For the third time.

i played 37 games, and…… it crashes at exactly the same point when I try to start my next game. I choose the team jerseys, I hit Start Game, it goes to the VS screen, and as soon as the chunky guitar chords start, BANG crash to main PS menu. Exactly the same as last time, and exactly the same as the time before that.

That’s three for three - I can’t even play through a single rookie season. It’s the middle of April and I haven’t even yet played as the position I chose (center) in the setup. 

I’ll say it again - I’ve played this game since the very first version on Sega Genesis when I was in high school, and I’m done. Not planning to ever buy again, because it is, quite literally, unusable. 

@EA-Aljo I get that it’s a corrupt save, I’m not disagreeing with you. I’m pointing out that I’ve never had an issue with any other game I’ve played. Never before, and not currently in any other games I’m playing. Not one single corrupt save in any other game at any time. Yet NHL25 is three for three in corrupt saves. That can’t just be a coincidence, can it?

I'm absolutely sorry you're having so much trouble with this. I know it's very frustrating. Hopefully, we'll have these crashing issues resolved in the future. 

So, this time through, I was making backup saves every 10 games so I wouldn’t lose much if it did corrupt. Because of this, I was able to pinpoint the cause:

when I get the challenge from the reporter to break the rookie goal scoring record, the next game crashes.

I scored more in these few games, so I got the challenge with 35 games played instead of 37, but the challenge is what triggers it. Same thing every time. I always choose the Promise response, so I don’t know if that matters or not, but this is the one constant. Can anyone else verify?

I completely gave up on 25, I booted the game back up for the first time in months and first be a pro game crashed. I’m just playing 24 again because it crashes way less. Not playing 25 anymore and probably not getting 26 unless it’s completely confirmed to not crash. Such a shame because I actually enjoy 25s gameplay I just can never complete a game. Still disappointed that this issue has been around since launch and still happens every time. 

Same thing is happening to me now after grinding on BaP. How is it that all of these hundreds if not thousands of people including me have corrupt saves? Sounds like a game issue 

It's certainly possible this is a game issue. We'll have to wait and see if it's addressed in the future. For now, the best I can advise is already mentioned in this thread.

Played with my friends on the game for the first time in months and guess what the game crashed. And crashed twice two separate times only completed 1 or two games and be a pro is still crashing. I don’t get how this issue is still present when the game has  been out for nine months. The game has crashed for me every time since LAUNCH. I’m not buying 26 unless it’s confirmed 1000000% to not crash. You’ve somehow lost someone who’s been playing nhl games since 07 just because the game just doesn’t work. NHL 24 it is until ea figures out how to make a game that I can play that i spent $60 on. Complete waste of money this year
