Hello, we have a WOC team with friends, and we find that in terms of matchmaking, there's too big a difference in skill levels between our opponents and us.
Example: In our team, we're between level 20 and 30, but our opponents are max level.
I find there's too big a difference in skill levels, and it's not fun to have to play against people who dominate us quite easily. If anyone can help us better understand, I'd be delighted.

Hey there. There are a few things to consider when it comes to max level. One, it's August. There are definitely going to be a high number of max level players. If we set a max rank difference, it could mean very long waits to match up.
Secondly, there was glitch when NHL 25 released (or right around that time) where you got an obscene amount of XP. Many took advantage of this and leveled up far higher than they should have been.Something else to consider is that rank isn't always an indicator of skill. There are plenty of highly skilled players with a low rank. Just like there are highly ranked players with a lower skill. A successful WoC team is one that has a combination of chemistry and skill. Chemistry can be just as important because even the most skilled player that tries to lone wolf a team sport like hockey is more often going to be on the losing side.
We have had some feedback this year about rank being considered with matchmaking. I don't know if it's going to happen, but the team is aware of those requests.
