NHL25 crashes all the time in game

NHL crashes all the time, when playing. It either shuts down and go to the xbox menu or the xbox shuts completely.

I cleared all the cache, multiple times and even did a factory reset. It crashes about one game out of two. Unplayable.

    Hello, everyone. We still have not been able to reproduce this issue. Unfortunately, that means we're not able to address it with a proper fix. So far, we've had 2 reports that using an external fan is helping. While this issue is not officially resolved, I am going to accept this as a solution only for visibility purposes so that others don't have to dig through this thread for the latest update.

    ***SOLUTION ACCEPTED FOR VISIBILITY PURPOSES ONLY. ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED***

    For now, the only workaround there has been success with is using an external fan to cool down your console.

    Hello. Is your console in a well ventilated location with the vents free of any dust and debris?

    I tried to move stuff around to make more room. It had some hair but I cleaned it.  It is on top of a tv desk. It still shuts down.

    Are you playing off the disk or did you get the digital version? Also, is it installed on the internal hard drive or are you using an external one?

    I am having these exact same issues. I purchased digital edition & have had it since day 1.

    Where is the game installed? On the internal drive or are you using an external drive or expansion card?

    Also, are you resuming the game from having your system in sleep mode or are you performing a hard restart of your console before playing?

    Digital version

    I unplugged my external drive. It didnt help.

    Internal. Both resuming or restart.

    Sometimes I manage to get a few games in, but it always end up crashing after a while.

    I assume your game isn't installed on the external drive since you were able to play and have the game crash. Are you on a Series S or X?

    When you did the factory reset, did you completely wipe your console or did you keep all the games/apps on it?
