10hr Trial - No XP for CHEL?

Grabbed the 10-hour trial as I only purchased the base game. Gameplay has been solid so far, but I have a huge issue with the fact we can’t gain any XP for Chel? Unless my game is glitched. So I’m stuck to a single loadout for the duration of the trial. What’s funny is they provide XP boosters but I can’t gain XP?

is anyone else experiencing this issue?
