Still rumored as to which storefronts it'll have, but if it has access to the steam store it would make much for sense to finally release the game on steam. Estimated to release in 2027 though so probably wont happen until NHL28 given the release timing of the game and unknown release of the console... Although if it is confirmed early enough that xbox will support steam, They could release NHL27 to the steam store to work out potential issues that way 28 would have issues fleshed out.

They actually don't, they have a license with the league that anyone can get, just cause EA has a license does not mean anyone else can't.

I've only done cloud gaming a few times and it was horrible even on a wired connection, but remote play works fine but this doesn't really solve the needing a console problem.

Give it to this PC crowd for being persistent though for something that hasn’t happened in years and probably several more to come maybe even never again.  Think about it people!  If EA could make money and/or have it worth their while to make a PC version don’t you think they would?!?!?!?  There are also other possibilities and/or other factors (contractual etc) why they haven’t made a PC version in over 10 years plus.  EA ideally/probably would love all their games on all platforms but they obviously have their reasons why.  

[Edit - CM]  You have millions of fans that want a native release on PC for years now.  Consoles will soon be running Windows natively (XBOX) and you now have no excuse to launch a game for PC.  You control the rights to the NHL and folks like us who have PC's are forced to mod old versions of the game to make content relevant.  There are millions of fans who want to enjoy NHL in 4k natively and you disappoint year after year.  Create a game and see what the market even looks like instead of telling people that Fifa and Madden are the only sports that make money (not true).  Worst thing that happens is the community would enhance the game further to give the developers some new ideas for a change.  What will you add this year 3d reflections on the ice.   You are missing out on the biggest community there is for money so just help me understand why you hate the fans so much?  If your worried about hacking just do what you did with Battlefield to prevent cheating (Javelin).  Just give the people what they want. Cloud gaming is not the future and is a lag disaster.  Folks spend thousands of dollars to run 5090's and top tier gaming setups and want to play their favorite sports in 4k.  You instead don't want to give the fans what they want and enjoy hearing the fans beg year after year.  In all honesty if you don't create something I hope 2k sports buys the rights and does something with it because this monopoly on sports is really becoming a detractor for your organization.

Hello dear community and EA Sports,I want to just say that why can't NHL 26 be on PC. Many of my friend does have playstation or xbox when I have pc. I love to play with and against my friends and especially play world of chel (eashl) together. Other games like madden,fc is on pc but why can't NHL also be there so we hockey fans who has a pc could enjoy and play together with our friends. 

There was a PC game, and it can drive a car by now.

I can recall years ago, when this game was available to be played on your computer. I also remember back then, there was a programmer who made available. All the teams gloves, goalie equipment, and every rink was detailed like that particular arena. Board advertisements and all. But what was also available was, proper player face packs. It is in this remembrance of the game of old, that I find it perplexing, that this development team. Cant put out proper face packs, and in some instances. No face plate at all. EA touts this game as being the next thing to the real thing. I don't recall seeing players with no faces in the NHL. If an individual gamer/programmer can put out that which i mentioned. Why can't this team of developers do the same. And why they removed the game from being accessible on your computer is another thoughtless move.
