Defense and wrap around

Protect the net does nothing to protect the net in defensive mode…. Nothing. Unless you’re doing it yourself because the AI is absolutely useless in this game!!! i’m sick of hearing about the wrapa...

You cannot rely on the AI to defend for you. They won't take aggressive actions against opposing players. They don't poke or hit. This is intended so that it promotes manually controlling those players since we had a lot of complaints that people just let the AI D play for them.

Imagine this happening in any other sports game.

Are we seeing the disconnect people are complaining about where the game lacks any sort of "realism" yet? Any plans for a different direction in 27?

This change was made at least a few years back. It's nothing new and we've mentioned it many times over the years. Not everyone is aware of it though. I'm sure there are newer players to HUT that don't know this is intended AI behavior.

I would love to see the game have more realism and authenticity to the sport. As far as what's coming down the road goes, there's nothing to announce today. Normally, details on the next game start releasing mid - late summer.
