xbox gamepass on pc

hey everybody

hoping someone can point me in the right direction, im newer to pc gaming i get the basics but troubleshooting im still working on LOL 

i have been playing nhl 25 on pc through the xbox app for months. i was stoked to see nhl 26 released this week on game pass. got home and downloaded it on the xbox, it plays fine. when i bring it up on the xbox app on pc i dont get the "play" option i only get the "see in store". when i click that the only option is "share" 

i've tried googling and checking all of the settings i know to check. what am i missing?
