We all know it's to late for them to fix NHL 26 form score since NHL 27 will be coming out in what 3 months?
They should ask real life NHL Coach's how they grade their players on the ice "form score" and how they judge which player goes from the 4th line to the 1st line. I still like my ideas as we can pick what type of player we want to play as and what line we want to be on, if we want to be a stay-at-home defenseman or defensive minded forward shutting down opposing team's best scoring players you get the 4th line or you as a specific players role is to be on the ice when an elite player is playing. If you want to be a 2 way forward, you can play on the 3rd line and if you want to be a scoring forward or an offensive minded defenseman you get the 2nd and 1st line and you play on those lines your entire career. I personally like scoring Goals and getting assists but there are players that like to play the defensive side of Hockey so hopefully they make NHL 27 a great experience for every play style.
well all I know is I'm sick and tired of almost throwing my controller into the wall (but don't want the wifey peed off at me) so I WILL NOT buy the next game till I see in the forums that is has changed. EA will not get a cent from me till they fix this piece of crap game. I know hockey is a TEAM game but geez stop gigging me for everything that my teammates don't do or fail to do. there should be NO "bad LINE defense". if I'm in MY position, covering MY man, and making defensive plays when I can but my stupid teammates give up 20 goals in 1 game then MY defense should NOT go down at all, and that's just the start. that, above all, pisses me off more than the form score and I HATE the form score. so I'm a forward who supposed to cover the point, my stupid teammates give it up in the offensive zone and there's a 2 on 1, I'm following behind trying to catch up, my teammate who is ALL ALONE takes the guy without the puck, I'm close to the puck carrier, we enter my zone, what the hell am I supposed to do? let the guy go and stop in "MY POSITION" or try and disrupt the puck carrier? to me I should try and disrupt him but if I get out of "my position" and they score I get a "not covering the point" or "missed assignment" AND "bad line defense" (or all 3) so my defense score goes from 78 to 50 (or lower). give me a freaking break. that's a bunch of you know what. if I lose every game because EA won't fix the player teammate AI, at least make it where MY player is not punished for it.
Like you said it's a team game and just like in real hockey if you are on the ice and one of your teammates makes a bad play or gives up the puck and the other team scores your whole line gets a minus. I do agree that for some reason your AI teammates make weird odd plays but the AI you are playing against seems to make great defensive plays especially picking off passes and beating your AI to the puck and once they are in your zone they make perfect passes and run around twice as fast as your AI teammates and the AI you are playing against land perfect hits and steal the puck more often than your AI teammates I just figure it's because I play on Superstar difficulty and I just accept it for what it is. That being said I can score goals so no matter if they score on me or not once I get a goal it's seems to be an automatic 100 form score not unless I get a -4 or something then it goes down a little bit. I've found the backhand is deadly in this game, so I rush to try to get the Backhand beauty, I also switch to automatic perks because the way they have perks now, I end up losing my X Factors, so I just put it on automatic.
your right that everyone on the line gets a minus when they score but that's in the +/- category not how the coach "sees" your play. so like in my example, if I was a coach and a guy stops and lets a 2 on 1 go and they score, he is getting his butt reamed for not helping. if he helps and they score well that's hockey, you WILL get scored on. there is no "setting up a play" in this game. it's pass once or twice then shoot 10 times. very rarely do I see more than 3 passes in the offensive zone.it just pisses me off that you get more negative feedback than positive. I just played a game and for 1 penalty I get a -7 in teamplay. for one, the puck was right between me and the defender but he didn't have the puck and I get called for interference. bull. I hardly play as a forward, I like defense but it is nearly impossible for me to play as an enforcer and score every game. it may be easy for some but not me. I want to play my position which means I won't score every game. I'll try, but won't if I play defense the way real hockey is done. and your right about the opponent AI and teammate AI. it's like EA did that on purpose so you will have to have your own player do everything but then again, if you screw up there goes the coaches score. in todays game, real NHL players can get a shot off to the goalie (and score) with the best defensive player right on them. does their coach chew them out for letting a goal in. I don't believe so, so why does this game. now if your completely out of position, or make a bad pass, or keep giving the puck up, ect, ect, then yea but not for one freaking play
