Game play movement

Online please explain why sometimes I play and everything moves smoothly with controller commands. Then next the gameplay commands are delayed all my skaters energy is depleted. The game is moves like fish flopping in the water.  I can’t skate or my player automatically energy get depleted. Like what’s going on with this game?
