I think you could use a generic goalie mask model with no brand affiliation to allow custom designs without needing to get permission from anyone. Obviously, you wouldn't be able to apply custom goalie masks to real-world NHL goalies who have agreements with their mask artists, but for World Of Chel - where customization like this would be hugely popular - I don't see EA having to get permission from anyone. Other than the trolls of course who would have to agree to play nice.
