Hart Trophy BAP Goalie

Off topic but how do you manage to play be a pro as a goalie? Never been able to be competitive with an above .850 SV %. Too much stupid goals and not enough shots.

It is 90% positioning and make sure you are fully square and set for the shot, if not you will leak some ugly ones or be just a bit early/late with your glove/blocker… and off course play a lot, I mean a lot, of hours as a goalie to understand the game and different plays to make your moves intuitivly

3-4min periods? Thats probably not enough time to get enough shots. If you look at other goalies, their saves total is 200% more than yours.. Im guessing. Play 8min periods and see what happens to your GAA and save %

You are clearly missing the point.

There is a bug in the game that makes it impossible to win the Hart as a goalie when playing low minute games, and the answer is not ”play longer periods….”

This game uses algorithms and formulas and not humans to determine who wins trophies. Just out of curiosity, how many shots do you get in a game? What are your AI settings at? At 7min periods 3/6 speed of the game, I’ll see 22-29 shots per game. Which is not bad. By far better than last years version. 

Also wanted to ask you, what do you think of the goalie animations? I think they are so bad this year. The limbs look disjointed, it is a step back from other years. 

BUT I think it’s very very difficult to win the Hart Trophy. You will have to be the 1st star in virtually every game you play and be in 70 games a season to do that. Ive won the Hart only a handful of times in previous games, but only after Im a 90+rated player. 

That is my point, it should be an easy fix for EA yet it is the same year after year - no love or respect for the goalies :)

i average 15,6 SOG @ 3 min periods and 22,4 @ 4 min periods. 

i think the animations are ok, but i hate the jersey physics it looks so bad for a sportsgame in 2025
