How do "glitch goals" survive past the first patch of the game?

Is the Goalie AI that complicated to code? Are they not adjusting anything based on feedback? I'm just wondering how every NHL game will have a certain set of moves that guarantees a goal scored without having any adjustments between patches. Just find it frustrating is all, doesn't exactly feel like hockey.

  • To vastly oversimplify things, all they need to do is just extend a few zones, tweak a reaction or speed "slider" and boom, goalies would be "fixed" in most of our eyes - the only thing left to do would be to go over the data each year, constantly fine tuning those numbers till you get an exact set that everyone is happy with.

Goalies are only bad now because the devs are too lazy and/or the suits making all the calls just don't care. You can be pro profit like any company and focus on mtx all you want but my way of thinking has always been this: Wouldn't a better game attract more customers thus make you more money as well? It'd be the best of both worlds.

The packs for money is nothing more than a money scam. Trying to force players into buying packs for cash. The cost should be investigated, as you are paying for something you never own. The packs as well are a joke. Over priced. No returning value for the cost. You get less than half the value vs the cost you paid. And a Vegas like slot machine odds, when trying to get better cards. The franchise is losing money. And it looks like they will do anything to luring players in to pay for the descrepancy. I saw the "Skate" franchise just laid off a number of employees. Perhaps. This franchise might be next.

and you would probably not be interested in it when you give a package for money and 80% of them give that money so why fix something we already have money for the game why fix something else

  • There has to be ways to score in the algorithims. If not. It would be a scoreless encounter. However. There are areas that can be corrected. Weak wrist shot goals from the blue line. Own players scoring on themselves. Goalie flopping around like a fish. It is the one area of the game, where EA has not put enough emphasis on, regarding realism.
