Lack of cutscenes

After changing the game engine EA Sports has destroyed almost all of the cutscenes. So what's the point of having face models, different sticks, helmets and all that stuff?

If I create a classic NHL season, it takes weeks. I create players without helmets, adjust the faces, even their eyebrows and gear with tapes and colors etc. It's mostly useless, because I can almost never see, how they look on the ice or on the bench.
