Hello. Are you saying this only happens when exit without saving?

Yes, when I exit the game, the game forgets everything after the previous match.
This has been the case since at least NHL2020, where you can cancel the main menu events by exiting and reloading the save, as well as playing the game again by quitting the entire game and reloading the game. So the autosave is the main culprit, it doesn't save - and this time even deletes the menu events after the previous match.

  Have you tried saving and exiting instead of saving without exiting? Is autosave enabled?

    I always have autosave on because sometimes an accident can happen that I get locked out of the game and then lose dozens of matches I've played. I save manually when I quit the game for the exact reason that autosave doesn't save correctly.
