This is because you're attempting to make a no-look, backhand pass about 20ft to a player at the point who just entered the zone and is covered.
why does my center just stand at center ice when he doesn’t have the puck? It’s like he’s stuck there and won’t move unless I enter the offensive zone, then he suddenly joins the rush.
You let up on Left Stick as you crossed the blue line - this causes the AI to glide to avoid being too agressive and causing an offside
