Love the list! Im heavy for increasing facescans in the game, especially now when they use ai to generate them (which they refuse to confess). Zach Benson and Tyler Bertuzzi need to be redone as well, the scans are terrible. I also really hope they fix how helmets fit on players, 60–70% have helmets that are way too big, and it looks ridiculous. It’s real laziness from Ea. I’d also like to see rookies get face scans, as many as possible. The overall level of face scans has been low and unacceptable in recent years. Your list is the bare minimum. A good solution would be to add the ability to change hairstyles on the players yourself, have their base as an option( if they dont have the generic ones, but almost everyone has it) and all the generic to choose from, would also add realism when you are for example 5-10 years into franchisemode.
Would also add
-WPG : Brad Lambert, Haydn Fleury
-CAL : Matvei Gridin, Adam Klapka
-COL : Joel Kiviranta
-DAL : Justin Hryckowian, Lian Bischel
-FLA : Niko Mikkola (Hair update)
-BOS : Marat Khusnutdinov, Hampus Lindholm (update), Nikita Zadorov (Update)
-LAK : Samuel Helenius, Joel Armia
-PIT : Rutger Mcgroarty
Would love to see more young Ahl players like Konsta Helenius, Matthew Poitras, Fabian Lysell, Jett Luchanko……for example get their scans in, but that is wishing for too much.

EA_Aljo When it’s documented and proven that every rookie gets their face scanned at the Upper Deck Rookie Showcase every year, why not add them in? Why wait until their sophomore season? And these guys from the Firebirds, why scan these players and then wait 2–4 years before they even get in? If they get in at all. Let more AHL players have face scans; it would make the experience 110% better, especially in Franchise Mode. Come on, you can do better!
I don’t get it, you’d get so much positive feedback and new customers, satisfied customers, so why hold back on them? I hope you change your game plan, because this isn’t sustainable. Instead, make a game that people play throughout the entire season, not one they stop playing in February–March and then just sit around waiting until September just to get a few new faces. It sounds crazy, but it’s the truth. Let 27 be the year you surprise us 🙏🏻

EA_Aljo i second this.Labben67
We know the dev team holds onto face scans from the NHLPA Rookie Showcase and waits to release them until players are full time NHLers, or more often until they have a breakout year at the NHL level. That seems to be why, four years later, we’re still waiting on Jack Quinn to get a scan the team has had since 2022, even now that he’s hit the 20 goal, 50 point mark.
With so many of these younger players already playing in the AHL, it would be great to have those scans added earlier so we can actually use them there and in online modes instead of waiting until they establish themselves in the NHL.

Exactly.BigTimeTimJimEA_Aljo Me personally, stops playing an franchise after 2-3 seasons, after those 2-3 seasons there is no more young guys with facescans/likeness, or player headshots. Takes all the fun out of it. Would love to have more ahl/young players to use, like 10-15 would change my entire experience, i bet others feel the same, this year ive recycled Michael Misa and Jakub Dvorak (not a facescan but his generic looks like him) through every team, just to have realistic rookies and young guns. Thats fine for 1-2 months, after you sit and wait 6-7 months for new facescans, then repeat. Nhl 25 had zero rookie facescans, that was unacceptable. Just do better guys. Loved seeing guys like Mavrick Bourque and Alex Laffriere get their scans in, but they are 22 y/o +, hope things changes. Im not sold on getting NHL 27, getting such a bad feeling about how Ea operates, it feels unprofessional.
