NHL 26 – Major Gameplay Issues (Poke Check & Goalie AI)

to me this game was playing so good before patch, they just ruined it and put it back to nhl 25 hits. before this patch i was serious g 13-15 per game for each side now cpu get 30 to 40 hits per game my god

But hitting should not be the only defending option in a NHL game. Poke checking was so much better before and its the main part of defending. I was really good at poke checking in 3v3 in all other NHL but they removed poke checking this year. Even with high overall and putting a xfactor to help, it just makes the poke check sound but doesn't remove the puck from the opponent. Now 3v3 is only braindead hits and late hits with truculence to create breakaway and score 99% of the time because goalies dive or flinch for no reason. Breakaway are 95% effective in 3v3 CHEL. To counter breakaway in previous year i was keeping a good distance and tracking of the offense and poke checking the puck away. Not in the incomplete NHL game this year though. Too busy releasing Fortnite skins.

And don't forget, when you get checked, it takes forever to get back up again.

every time i pass puck about 2 seconds after puck is gone i get a big hit layed on me, it was fine for me pre patch, this game is nothing but an arcade hit game now.

I have bought every nhl game since first one released on sega genesis, if this game don’t get fixed, for first time i won’t be buying nhl27.  c’mon ea show a little loyalty to your longest fan base, offline players.
