Hi,
Why when you take a slap shot without aiming (or sometimes even while aiming), the puck goes straight (on)to another player on the ice?
What's the mechanic behind that?
Thanks.

Should have said "From your D zone".
I will assume you are attempting a shot inside the opponents zone. The AI adopts a passive box-protect the net defence, which puts a cluster of players in the central area in front of the net. You have to get your player into an unobstructed lane before letting your shot go, so that it reaches the net. You should utilize the on ice trainer to aid you. However. If your attempting a slap shot from your own defensive zone. Once again. Open lane. Making sure you are aiming at the intended target. The AI clusters the central zone, so shift to the right or left, when attempting. I didnt see your 2nd response before i posted my initial one.
No. I meant when you are in your own zone. Try a free aim slap shot. It will go directly on an opponent (AI or not). Not near, not close, DIRECTLY on it. Have EA ever talk about or explained the magnet?
Cant say i have experienced having a slapshot hit an opponent in my own zone. I have on the odd occasion fired a slap shot off the boards down the ice. Perhaps if you submitted a vid to Aljo, you might get an explanation, or have it passed on to the devs. Sorry bud, i couldnt help, or give a reason to help quell the problem you have experienced
The "Magnet" here is a ridiculous "pressure system". Hockey players are leaping like basketball players, effortlessly catching my 130 mph slapshot with their glove without any injury. Everything goes directly on an opponent. That’s EA’s implementation, and it’s just absurd.
"Cant say i have experienced having a slapshot hit an opponent in my own zone. " What?? Take a slapshot without aiming from your own zone. It WILL happen! I don't even know what to say now. Been like that for years.
