Some ideas to fix the form score for Be a Pro.

Just some simple ideas if form score starts at 80 and I think the form score is maxed at 100.

For a good form score.

  1. If you play well and get no points and no +/- your form score stays at 80, why should you be punished for that?
  2.  If you play well and get no points but get a +1 you get an 81-form score, you get a +1 to form score for every + you get.
  3.  If you play well and get an assist you get an 82 form score +2 for every assist.
  4.  If you play well and get a goal you get an 85 form score you get a +5 for every goal.
  5.  If you play well and get a goal and an assist you get an 87-form score and if you had a let's say +2 you get an extra 2 points to form score at 89.

For a bad form score in my opinion, it should be based on +/-.

  1. If you get a -1 you drop form score to 79, each - you drop one point.

I'm not even sure the form score even factors into the coach's feedback.

These are just my simple ideas to make the form score more realistic.

  • I think the coach feedback should play the most part in the form score, coz right now it just seems to be based on winning and points. Meeting the Offense/Defense/Team Play and Overall coach feedback target grades should be the main goal since playing well would be the most crucial part in moving up in real life. I like what you said about good/bad form score factors as it would be a good bonus or penalized system that would play as a secondary role to your overall play. Maybe also make the challenges different, like instead of the repeatative advance to whatever game and maintain a 65 form score, it should be a longer term goal like maintain a certain form score in however many games, but also have a points goal or save percentage if your a goalie and outplay the person's spot that your trying to take in that time span.

  • Blocks, takeaways, giveaways, PK zone clears, etc. There are so many other things that should factor in besides points and +/-, especially for defensemen. Wins and losses should matter the least as you can play perfectly, but the rest of the team can give up multiple goals while you're off the ice, and conversely play like actual garbage but get higher form from your teammates dominating while you're not out there.

desertddrive, the only downside that I see when you said about playing perfectly but the rest of the team gives up goals when you're off ice is that 99.9% of the time the other team NEVER scores when I'm off ice. they 99.9% of the time score WHEN I'm on the ice. that's why I believe that they should get rid of all the penalties given when your teammates screw up. for instance, I play an enforcer defenseman and every time (and I mean every time) I'm in the right place where I'm supposed to be but they score, I get a "bad line defense" and get at first, -1% in defense. if they score multiple, then that % raises. I think one game I got -5% for bad line defense when it wasn't my fault. then I could be literally 1 step behind a forward going to the net and I get an "odd man rush" doesn't matter that my stick was in front of the guy, nope, just that he was ahead of me. that's not counting that when my stupid teammates, and I'm talking about the other Dman, decides to play like a forward and I got 4 teammates near the net and I get a 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 and go to the guy the 'arrow' tells me but I attempt a poke check and of course miss and they score by either the one, I get a "missed assignment". or if you go help around the offensive circles and your other Dman decides to come up to and they get a breakaway, guess what I get? yep "missed assignment" and probably "odd man rush" and "not covering you man". plus when you check a guy near their blue line and go off sides and my stupid teammate gets the puck and brings it across, I GET THE "CAUGHT OFF SIDES" penalty, not the teammate who had PLENTY OF TIME to stop and NOT come across. in other words, you are the one who gets gigged for nearly everything the AI teammate does. you see your forward going to the boards so you pass towards the boards but after you pass he 'diverts' towards the center and YOU get the 'icing' gig. and if you shoot while being hit and the puck actually goes to the net but not powerful enough or doesn't go where you wanted you get the old "badly aimed shot" or " weak wrist shot" or something like that. you don't loose power, you just don't gain any. in one game I had an A- in offense and did not score any points, B+ in defense, and A+ in teamplay, and was + in +/- so my overall coaches score was A+ (100%) but my form score for that game was only 88 all because I did not score any points.

I'll add as everyone knows in be a pro once you get to the NHL you're thrown on the 4th line with limited playing time, these were my simple ideas to make the be a pro experience more enjoyable. It's almost impossible to get a form score of 75 or 80 on the 4th line.

If you're on the 4th line, you will never get an opportunity to move up until about the end of the season, most of the time at least for me you get very limited ice time and sometimes you get no ice time in the 3rd and the coach's feedback you normally get C's. So as the be a pro is now the Coach's feedback is pretty much useless.

That's the way it should be but when you're on the 4th line with very limited playing time I figured my simple ideas would work better, at least you will keep your form score if you didn't get any minuses or points after a game.
