Still can't edit player ratings in franchise

This feature has been requested for years for this title and EA keeps ignoring it. Madden, NBA 2k, MLB the Show, and even CFB (for random gen recruits, for legal reasons) have this feature. Why does NHL continue to hold this out year after year? You'd think after the player backlash when this wasn't included for fictional recruits in the initial release of CFB 25, that EA would understand how important something like this is for a good number of players.

As a sidenote, it would also be nice to edit ages for the legends. I realize it scales them to an appropriate playing age in a player's prime when the Franchise starts, but what if I want to play a Franchise with a young Gretzky for example, I just can't unless I make a create a player of him and then it doesn't look like him.

Well at least that's $70 I don't have to spend this year. 5 minutes in the EA Play trial tells me I'll have to wait at least another year. It's a shame because presentation looked better, but I'm not going to pour myself into something that's missing such a basic feature that would give me so much more enjoyment if it were there.
