Strategy changing

No way to change them in  permanently in franchise mode only season mode

You can find a coach to be the head coach of your AHL team that fits what you want to do and then have a conversation with your coach choose game plan then scheme fit and even if he don’t like it you can force him to change it to match the ahl coach scheme 

It kinda sucks too because the locked coaching strategies are nothing like real life counterparts...(as if adding real nhl coaches was just a gimmick.......). Developers are blowing a chance to help people really understand hockey tactics, like Madden back in the day, where they had legit playbooks based on actual nfl coaches. Funny thing is hockey strategy is much less complicated. Don't expect too much from EA. It's all about making as much money as quickly as possible as opposed to making a decent game. Sorry but you know it's true.

I can't find an AHL coach either like you can't hire I can't hire any staff for either team the minor leagues or the regular game like you can't change it but you get one shot at it setting up your franchise evidently and then if you change your mind you're just screwed unless you want to start your franchise completely over which it's not worth it's not worth all that I'm not going to do that it's just dumb and I would think that that's something that they could fix in an update or something but I don't know how that works so I shouldn't say that but we should have the option to turn it on or off whenever we want I mean it's our franchise we run it the way we want to it's just another thing that they don't pay attention to cuz they don't give a crap and it's not a big deal so I'm not going to let it stop me from him playing it's just we should be able to decide more than just the one time before you even start a franchise when you have no idea what's going on and then you can't ever change it back it's dumb

You can also talk to the coach about changing it too. It will cost you morale with him but that way is more fluid cus you change can it as you wish. Just turn off auto save in the settings and then save your file then talk to him so if he doesn’t accept you can exit reload save and try again. You can also edit the settings right after jersey selection and it will go into the game with what you choose. Just make sure you turn off the assisted strategies. The ai coach adjustment for you.
