Strategy changing

Is there a way in franchise mode to get the strategies that you set yourself stay that way they always stay that way for a few games and then they go back to the way the coach wants them to be I want them to stay the way I put them but they don't stay that way for long and I was wondering if you could change that. Am I doing something wrong or is there something I don't know as to why I can't get them to stay a certain way It gets annoying having to put them back the way I want them when the coach changes them back to the way he wants them
