EA Sports has once again released an NHL title in a broken and disappointing state. Despite public statements promising fixes to long-standing issues, NHL 26 still suffers from major gameplay problems. Core mechanics such as hits, poke checks, pass interceptions, and stick lifts remain inconsistent or flat-out nonfunctional. The infamous LT glitch and other exploits that were supposed to be resolved continue to plague gameplay, creating frustration instead of fair competition.Even worse, the community experience has been marred by toxic behavior and racism, yet EA has failed to provide the proper tools or enforcement to address it. Players are expected to pay full price for a product that not only fails to deliver on promises of improvement but actively diminishes the enjoyment of the game. Fans of the series deserve better than recycled issues, broken gameplay, and unchecked toxicity. NHL 26 is another example of EA prioritizing profit over accountability and quality.
