Toe drag deke changed... Why? (VIDEO)

Now instead of a toe drag. It does a random variation deke with a fake. Sorry, but I don't want a surprise different deke when I toe drag. Especially when I am trying to get around a defender. Why was this changed? It's completely unnecessary. I want to know exactly what deke I am using when trying to create offense. Not some silly surprise deke every time I toe drag.

I agree. I don’t like the gameplay changes in NHL 26 compared with NHL 25. It feels as if gameplay is tweaked to convince players they are doing something. This year, toe drags and manual saucer passes have been ruined. Why you cant make short saucer pass anymore??

If a player puts 1,000 hours into the game and uses L2 (LT on Xbox) or other tricks - what some call “exploiting” - there should be skill cap, a big one. It’s perfectly normal that experienced players can pull some tricks that gets noobs mad. But EA hates it and wants to turn this more to lottery every year.

And this is from a point of world of chel. Super dissappointing release..

This is not a toe drag.

To get the regular toe-drag, hold vision control and execute the maneuver on the right stick.

The toe drag move now doesn't result in a 'random' toe drag. There are new toe drag animations based on how you move RS so you need to be exact with the quarter turn or half turns on RS to get the desired deke.

Takes some playing around to nail it, but you'll get it.
