The lag on all online modes on Xbox Series consoles is terrible. It stutters and jumps every couple of seconds. It’s happening in HUT and Online VS. I have 22ms average ping. 500 mbps download speeds on Ethernet. I cross posted this to Reddit and have heard from others that it’s happening to them too. I wanted to post it here to hopefully get developer eyes on this because it is currently impossible to play online.

It’s really ridiculous how this is even possible! You have to restart the game after every 2–3 online matches because lag/FPS issues inevitably start. I bought a new Xbox Series X to replace the S, but the same thing continues! This is probably one of the biggest problem in the entire history of the NHL game series, and something needs to be done about it immediately..

That’s bull crap. It happened all last year, too. It’s been heavily reported across various medias. All Online and offline game modes in HUT. You play a few moments, then all of a sudden it starts getting choppy. You play a couple of cup chase games, and then all of a sudden, it starts getting choppy. This is not new and it is something that is repeatable by anyone who is on Xbox. You all can easily replicate it in-house if you actually spend time playing your game. Play it on an Xbox for at least 30 minutes in games and then it will start for sure. Only fix from our end is to suffer through the end of whatever game we are currently in and then force quit the game and reboot.

I think EA knows it happens. They just think it's acceptable and would need too much man hours to fix. There just is no way they don't get the stutter because literally every xbox has it. I even asked from all the streamers that was on xbox and they said they have it and have to restart the game/console constantly. It's just another example of EA being EA.

I also am experiencing this on a Xbox Series X. Whether the game is Offline or Online in HUT the last minute of every period causes a serious stuttering effect. It really makes it hard to play and this is happening every last minute of the period in any offline or online game.

I’ve been experiencing the exact same issue since launch. On Xbox series S. Wired internet connection. Steady 22 ms ping. But after one online or offline game it begins to stutter and jump. NHL 25 was as smooth as can be for me. Has to be the game I’ve tried everything

Hut, online ranked,champs, offline cupchase,wildcard, moments etc..I feel like the trigger point where the stuttering starts is in game nr.3 second period last minute. After that, the stuttering occurs randomly even during matches, but it’s always noticeable in the last minute. After restarting the game its good until you play for couple of games.Ihave also reinstalled the game, but it still does the same thing.

It doesn’t really affect me now since I restart the game after every match. But my Xbox tag is naangcountry, and my timezone is UTC+3.

It’s not related to the connection , I took the console to a friend’s place who also has a fiber connection, and the problem was exactly the same.

I highly doubt it's connection issue as i had it in local world championship tournament mode.
