Hey there. I can't say for sure if there will be any more updates, but the chances of gameplay changes to NHL 26 are very slim. Normally, by this time of year the team has transitioned to focusing on the future.

It seems like support for this game - gameplay wise and more was ended in January and even worse that you sold an unfinished product with some aspects to this day being fully unplayable.
So as a game that is attached to an actual active league I say you release your games to early! Most rosters are at best preseason but most from the last roster before the preseason began.
