What A Gong Show! Explain please? Low OVR Beats High OVR?

So I know this has been a discussion for awhile and I have yet to experience it up until this point as of yesterday in a game. Opposition had some low end players with slow speeds while my team had high end players for the most part with faster speeds. All my opponent did was charge at my team running them, along interfering and no penalties called. His goalie was a 73 overall and for the most part he had nothing higher than 84’s… To boot I lost because for some reason even with my team at full energy my defensive line decided to change leading to an odd man rush.  Felt like my players were skating slow and I did all the connection checks. Worst is the weird FPs drops where opponent kept looping the puck back to him. AI also was horrid at their positioning leading to myself having no outlet during a cycle strategy.

Such a waste of time I quit and moved on to play BAP…
