WOC | Kick Non-Club members from club lobbies

I recall this being mentioned in NHL 25 but it appears to of not made it on 26 yet, Can we get options to kick non-club players out of club lobbies, or in general kick players from club lobbies.

Currently facing an issue where we have a drop-in who has gone afk in a 3v3 club lobby and for some reason even though he is not a club member, he is keeping the club lobby active. We have tried leaving the club lobby and once all club members have left we try starting a new club lobby but it kept the AFK drop in skater.

We have also started matchmaking in hopes that he would get dropped from the lobby, unfortunately this did not drop him.

I have looked through the party options via ea connect, no options available to remove from the party.

  • Happened to my club a while back. Can't say I'm all that surprised something like this could happen though - they seem to never properly test anything they role out.

  • We've had more temporary issues (like a drop in who wouldn't leave but all quitting the room got him to leave), but we've had them.  I think allowing drop ins to join club games was a genius move by EA.  Its improved the drop in experience greatly.  I also think its bonkers that EA didn't put in more manual club protection to go along with it.  I know there were some automated moderation that misfired on actual club members.  Just let the team captain boot any non-club members from the lobby.  Seems like a no brainer.

It's 'roll' and obviously they test things out, I just don't think they've developed this feature yet. Or, it's another one of those "but this would be abused" things where the trolls in this community get to dictate what club-moderation tools (among other things) we don't get.

Still baffles me that trolls get to determine that we don't get full Team Builder-style customization or vote-to-kick in lobbies. It's like we're letting the trolls win at this point.

    Exactly.

This is the obvious solution, not just for my issue with afk players but for other issues too especially what KidShowtime1867 mentioned about trolls.

Agreed, we have been fairly lucky in that when we use a drop in, the player seems to be trying to play his spot and fit in.  But we've also had some bad experiences where the drop in is being an active detriment (defenseman not actually playing defense, constantly calling for puck from goalie, even with only opponents around).  Things an automated system might overlook, but would quickly be corrected if the captain could just boot him.

Don't correct someone like that, it makes you look like a **bleep**. People keep getting mad when stuff is released half-baked yet they still don't care enough to think 2 steps ahead with these features so the cycle just continues
