X Factors ruin CHEL

Nothing better than being in a position and watching the game, just MAKING something happen because of artificial badges on a build.

I don't know about you all, but I remember in the '87 Cup Finals the goalie being like, "he has a quick release badge... nothing I can do... gg boys."

Like this is a joke....

They were added to differentiate players.. in WoC everyone uses the same small handful of them so it fails at that. Couple that with the fact it has made the game an arcade mess and less like we see in the NHL and it is a bad feature. If implemented right they could be cool. I wish they would do what they were supposed to do, unfourtunately we didn't get that. If X factors only somewhat boosted very particular things (and were balanced) they would be better. The backhand ability is cool, split it into two or make the effectiveness less and you can backhand pass/ shoot more accurately, no need to boost the shot speed by 250% or whatever it says. One having a somewhat larger range to intercept passes, awesome I will have to keep an eye on that guy when rushing up the ice or looking for a cross crease and it's doubtful everyone is looking to grab that Xfactor. When you have some that increase speed/ hitting/ shooting speed.. those are just better.. and they don't really differentiate players because everyone is gonna take speed.. and in this arcade sim, they will take hitting. Then you have things like the McDavid build that has some of the best Xfactors that can't even be placed on a custom build together with better attributes and it becomes an even bigger problem. But it makes them $$$ I'd argue there are ways they could make more money AND have it be fun, but it's less work to make EA god builds. I don't see any changes until the mobile game/ Mario strikers devs are replaced. It's all about how much they can get away with in microtransactions. It will likely get worse before it gets better. If you want none, there are probably private leagues you can join, probably your only option for semi simulation play.

This game is absolutely ruined by the unrealistic gameplay for WoC. 6 goals given up each game to wingers with red Wheels just straight line skating. It’s ridiculous. Please make the game feel smooth and realistic. Drop ins should remain the arcade-y type gameplay, but now at time that even feels better than clubs. 

I don’t want to be that guy but I’ve enjoyed and played chel since early 00’s and there hasn’t been a good one in almost 6 years. Only reason I’ve purchased them is because of the discounts and hopes that it gets better and never does. I’m in a 500player league for Xbox and we’ve all agreed to boycott until changes are made.
