Zero reward for positioning and shot selection

I am constantly getting told good shot selection, aim and that the goalie was screened, 10-15 times a game and often zero go in? That is ridiculous. Not to mention the rebounds goalies will magically get to even tho I am literally ripping shots as soon as they touch the ice off of a rebound. The game is atrocious and unrewarding. Took a 3 week break and that was the only point in time I didnt hate everything about this **bleep** game.
