To make sure I understand you correctly, are you saying EA's NHL dev team has been unable to re-produce it, for 2 development cycles? possibly even more? even though you know its an issues (however small you may think it is) yet here we are with no solution?
I understand your focus is NHL, but perhaps it would be an option to suggest the NHL dev team discussing the issue and bounce potential causes of this issue with other dev teams from those games? There is clearly correlation with other games. Cross similar coding, AI programing, internal software infrastructure. these games clearly have very similar makeups using the same engine, see what matches across all of them and find the root cause. I can almost guarantee that once one dev team finds the root cause, it will fix it for all other games, so why not work together?
Also to your point about "bigger issues typically are easier to reproduce", is evidently false, I literally have never seen a thread with as many views as the CFB 26 post, it has 20k views, and 1k comments in 2 months time. yet it is still unresolved. So that throws that expectation right out the window.
