Disconnections from EA Network – NHL 26 on PS5

Ongoing Disconnections from EA Network – NHL 26 on PS5

Hello EA Support,

 

I’m reaching out because I’m beyond frustrated with an ongoing issue while playing NHL 26 on PS5. Almost every time I play, I get kicked from games due to a message saying I’ve been disconnected from the EA Network.

 

The problem is, this is the only network I have issues with. My internet connection is stable, my PlayStation Network works perfectly, and I have no disconnect problems with any other online games. This issue is specific to EA servers, and it’s making the game borderline unplayable.

 

I’ve spent good money on this game and expect to be able to play full online matches without constant disconnects—especially when the fault clearly isn’t on my end. At this point, I’m losing progress, wasting time, and getting penalized for something I have no control over.

I’d like a real explanation of what’s causing this and, more importantly, a fix. This has been happening consistently and needs to be addressed. Please don’t respond with generic troubleshooting steps unless you can clearly explain how this is not an EA Network issue.

 

I’m asking for this problem to be taken seriously and resolved as soon as possible.

    Hi there. We're not aware of any issues with the servers at the moment. Have you tried the connection troubleshooting steps here?

    Also, are you on a wireless connection? Wireless is a lot less stable than wired so disconnects and lag will be more common.

    I have the same problem, and they refuse to accept that it's EA servers problem. It only happens to me on NHL and Battlefield. Games made by other companies completely fine.

    Doesn't change a thing. It started happening just in the past 2 weeks like OP said. Nothing has changed on our ends, it was fine before.

    What exactly is happening? Are you disconnecting mid-game? If so, are you using a wired or wireless connection?

    I just played through the trial and bought the game. It has never once connected to the network, despite me being connected to my internet. Every time I open the game it just says network connection issue.

    Hi there. Let's see if power cycling your console and network equipment will help. Please follow these steps:

    1. Unplug your modem/router for 2 minutes
    2. Power cycle your console by holding down the power button on your console until it turns off
    3. Plug in your modem/router and turn on your console
    4. Try loading into the game again
