Hey yall,
So launch day is here and this is kind of to be expected out the gate but also not for this long. It has been 26 mins and thus far a lot of us were able to open the game set the basic settings pick a favorite team and than have been sitting on a connecting screen since.
As someone who took part in both beta's and engaged in a lot of bug fixes this is a bit disheartning tho not unheard of if we can get an update.
Steps I've taken to try and fix:
1. Close the game at home screen
2. Restart fully the PS5
3. Uninstall and reinstall the game
4. Switch to another console entirely.
Hoping we can get an update on if its just server overload or something.
UPDATE:
1. A work around that i was able to do that at least got me into the main menu was to literally turn off my consoles connection to the internet and than turn it back on but if you try to get into WOC or anything after that you go back to connection screen of death.
Based on the above work around i want to guess it is something to do with EA server overload or online play that is causing the issue but i imagine we will find out soon enough. With the above trick offline play does appear to work.
Update 2: For EA
1. After getting in with the offline turn of work around i was curious and wanted to go into the settings to view online settings. I can turn wifi back on and stuff after im thru the first barrier but once i go into online settings i once again get a connecting spin of death.
Update 3: Final I hope
1. It appears as tho things are working now at least somewhat with access to online features.
