Why does EA not care anymore

Why can't I play NHL 26 on my PC, can't use cloud gaming can't purchase it. I remember when EA use to like there customers and give them all the options. It is very disappointing to not be able to play the one game that you actually want to play.

Hey there. I know not having a PC version is really unfortunate. However, that has nothing to do with caring for the community. Which, we absolutely do! It's more about the feasibility of it all. This has been discussed to death here so I'll keep it short. There hasn't been a PC version due to the small playerbase it would most likely have. With crossplay being a thing now, that's less of an issue. Regardless, the PC market for this hockey game is probably a small one. It's a very big project as well. So, in the end, it may not be worth the heavy amount of work that goes into it. That doesn't mean it'll never happen though. We're aware of these requests. It's possible there could be a PC version at some point in the future.

Then comes the next issue, all gaming systems now and days are PCs you don't put a disc in any new consoles, but yet if I want to play the only game I want to play I have to buy a new Xbox or PlayStation because I can't play it on my Xbox one and I can't play it on cloud gaming. These systems aren't free and are only getting more expensive. That's the killer, being forced to buy a new system because it's a smaller market game for a company that could easily afford to make it accessible. So I stand by my statement EA does not care like it use to.

Normally, the game becomes playable on cloud gaming in the Spring. I understand that's not ideal though.

Again, this isn't about not caring. We act on a high amount of community feedback. Unfortunately, we can't action everything that's requested. I truly hope we're able to have a PC version in the future.

After reading all the forums all I see is that EA cares about is money. As I understand that is any company's goal, otherwise why would you own a company in the first place. But when did money become more important then the product.

EA use to be the best sports platform. After reading a lot of complaints and not just for NHL games, it shows that EA went from a company that produced one of the best products to only caring about money, and that is sad, and disappointing.

We deserve better as consumers. As I really do love playing the NHL game, EA is taking the fun out of it. So yet again if this is how EA cares maybe it's time for me to step away from EA. Maybe it's time for the consumer to demand more for their money and time.

  • With the high amount of requests for it, how many players are switching to PC gaming, and the lack of hockey games on PC, how would it not be feasible?
