EA NHL 2026 Is a Dumpster Fire

Here are the reasons why

Stop international ice. I bought NHL hockey ,not international ice L2 ballerina skating. If it is going to be in the game make it a choice for the individual player in the settings like cross play to toggle it on or off.

L2. This need to be fixed right now. I have watched every hockey playoff game this year and I will tell you I have not seen any player skate around untouched like the players who abuse L2 in this game.

The matchmaking in the game, fix it. I would rather wait 5 min for a game then have games where the ping difference is so bad it is unwinnable. Let you set the matchmaking ie 30 to 40 ping. You get fair games with no lag compensation.

Fix poke checking and stick lifts. They don't work and need to be fixed so your players can play defense

Fix these things as well as make the ai play at superstar level online and you may have a game that all the players EA has lost over the years may come back.

Also how about have the game resemble real hockey. Here are examples , when you go down to block a shot or get hit with a body check, the downed player does not get up grab the puck and take off before the player who made the check can get the puck. In addition, take out the animation that you hit the goal post and the puck flies to center ice every time or goes out of play ., it is unrealistic and unnecessary.

I would love a dev or moderator to comment or at least send this to the devs to work on for NHL 2027 or if they have a fix add a patch to this game.

If all these things were fixed , this game would be what the title says a real NHL hockey game no mater what year the game title says it is.
