Fumble
I just learned about what happened with the fantasy cards being incredibly easy to be pulled from packs today and I just feel sick to my stomach. The amount of fumbles this company has had this year ...
I'm certainly not defending EA ... you probably haven't read a single one of my posts. It's just a fact that certain things are the way they are at EA.
Moments are always difficult and frustrating, on the one hand due to the buggy slider settings, on the other hand ... The harder, the more frustrating, the more likely people are to build the player or buy the guaranteed pack. This was already the same in NHL 25 with the Titans.
EA is a greedy company, they don't just give away valuable cards.
And live service games are always grind, chores or whatever you want to call it. And comparing a single-player game with a live service game is so weird
I always prefer single-player games, but I still play NHL because I love the sport, not the game (not anymore)
Gaming should be fun and somehow you don't seem to have that 🤷♂️
how can you have fun if you literally get screwed by this company over and over!!
As you have written, they could have reacted way earlier, but they didn't, so everyone is absolutely allowed to be frustrated and angry towards EA!
There is only one thing which is worse for people in that situation then saying "it is what it is, don't be angry" and this is the EA way to not even communicate something about it and just try to make people forget.
This was the last time this company screwed me. When i heard about the mistake, i was of course at work and couldn't make profit of this mistake. When i got home, i immediately deleted the game!
You phastos answered to another post of me, that you also spent 100k hut points on fantasy event. And now you are just ok with that and what happened!! This is exactly why companies like EA continue with what they do, because people will still play it and say things like "oh, what can they do now?" it's not about the now....it cannot be, that mistakes like this happen year after year. You would assume, that EA has experience in more than 10 years of HUT, to time specific packs with the right content and cards inside!
Would it be "it's just how it is" for you, if you for example book a trip for holidays for like 2000.- and then just out coincidence hear, that the guy at the next desk get's the exact same trip for a tenth of the price, because of a mistake. Would you then still book this trip? would you go out and tell your wife and family "Hey, the other guy got the same but paid 10 times less, but i am ok with that, because it is what it is..."
The only chance EA finally learns something, if people get upset, write their opinion and even boycott this company!!
Where did I write that I spent 100k points on fantasy? You must misunderstood something.
Sorry yes - this was a mistake from my side! My older topic (Spent 750.- for NOTHING) we had a convo and then someone else answered and wrote that he spent 100k points. I thought it was you, so that was wrong from my side. Sorry!
But it still doesn't help anybody besides EA if people now say "oh it is what it is and you can't do anything about it..." this passivness is sadly automatically a support for all of this, because they always come through with it.
