Restrictions

NHL 26 has gotten to the point where. It seems restrictions have become the norm. This years version of XP Seasons, now has player rewards that are UT. Such as the 83 and 84 ovr cards. The daily reward is now a reward of 1, where it use to be 3 and 4. They have adopted a salary restriction on your team now. Which no longer allows you to build the team you want. Go over the cap, and you are no longer able to compete in the XP Seasons format. Packs are now more costly, with %s being even less to obtain cards of any significance. The XP seasons venue, which has been in place for the past 2 seasons, has become a monotonous bore, where rewards are the same each season, with the exception of the card you receive at level 60. And that card last year, was attainable at level 50. It just seems that this franchise has taken the route of the least involvement. 24s version. Rewards were tabulated each week. Now its 50+ days before a season turn over. No longer is there incentive to reach various goals. Because the goal is the same for everyone. Same rewards. Same card at level 60. No way now to gage your skill set, when its a constant round of playing the same half dozen plus teams, where levels of achievement are a constant. In 24 you had incentive to play for, such as elite 1 to 3. And top 100. This game use to be one of enjoyment. It has now become one of, how long can you play before you are bored out of your mind. Truly i hope. For the sake of this franchise, and those that play it. That EA can right the ship, and get back to a game that is enjoyable for all.

What do you mean? Are you confusing the daily login pack and the daily objective reward with each other?

There are opinions for and against the salary cap. On one hand it brings an aspect to team building that we didn't have in the past, but on the other hand the game mode is called Hockey Ultimate Team, and we can't really build an ultimate team with the salary cap. We can increase the cap with line combinations, but even then we might need to use players that we wouldn't otherwise use in our team. I wouldn't mind if the salary cap didn't exist, but I also understand why some people like it.

And also with the exception of the 5 upgradeable XP cards that you receive at lower levels.

the card you receive at level 60. And that card last year, was attainable at level 50

I think the numbers of the levels are irrelevant when comparing this year to last year. The relevant thing is that this year the XP seasons (at least the first two of them) have been longer in terms of time than last year. I'm surprised that EA went to this direction when they made the XP seasons shorter in the middle of last year after we complained that they are too long. However, I haven't seen many complaints about it this year even though the XP seasons have been even longer this year than they were last year before EA made them shorter.
