99 Dylan Cozens

EA_Aljo

Why does this 99 overall fantasy card still have 97 speed? Speed is one of the most important stats in the game, and 99 speed has always been the best part of obtaining a 99 overall card. Fantasy has never worked this way before...

    Why are you surprised?

EA has already confirmed at Lundell that this is intentional.

So why did Lundell who was 84 speed at 83 OVR surpass Cozens who was 84 speed at 79 OVR?

  • It doesn't matter what they confirmed. The fact is we gave up the farm for fantasy cards to get a shot at 99 OVERALL!! That's 99 skating, 99 shot, 99 hands, 99 EVERYTHING as it always has been. The fact that you didn't disclose your intentions with the skating BEFORE we went and made these cards is nothing short of fraud. I want everything back I put into these cards $$ and cards. I would have spent absolutely ZERO had you made this clear at the time of the event. All of this shady stuff you keep doing this year, just may come back to bite you!! Now either give me what I paid for which is a true (99overall card or give me back what I invested. There is no guarentee that your card gets to 99, I get that. But if it does, It has to be a 99 OVERALL!! Or this will be escalated!

  • I agree and EA_Aljo please provide us an answer. This does not make sense and will kill main events for future NHL and HUT releases. Making everything worst is the fact that pure 99 cards are already around. So no reason to hold this cards back. Therefore please correct this for the ones that reached the target being really worth the gamble! Thank you.

Hey, everyone. There is no hard rule that 99s will have 99 speed/accel. I will pass on the feedback to the team. Thank you.

Why even bother doing Fantasy anymore, it's already a gamble they gonna get to 99, so now they're not even 99, while they were always like that in previous years. But don't worry, they gonna sell pack with 99 Overall players like Bourque, who is 99 all the way. It's just lazyness, just like MSP, who are not custom anymore, they just go up by +1 and +0.5 (speed & acc.) per overall from base card.

This "progress" is just sad and shows once again what EA wants from its customers ... 🤑

But next year, I'm skipping the best event of the year. Considering the cost of the sets, it's not worth making these cards if they don't reach 99 stats.

Fantasy event has been pretty much the biggest reason I’ve been buying the deluxe version for the last four years. Now that they are becoming scummy about it, next year I’ll go back to buying the disc version of the game when it goes on sale and will sell it when I get bored playing it.

Yes, but in previous years all 99 overall cards had 99 speed/acceleration. We would need to go back several years to find a 99 overall card without 99 speed/acceleration. And now it has suddenly changed.

The cost of building a Fantasy Hockey card makes this even worse. Fantasy Hockey cards have always been expensive, but this year they were more expensive than before, and yet you decided to make them worse than before by not giving them 99 speed/acceleration at 99 overall.

And you didn't even upgrade their speed/acceleration today after both Lundell and Cozens scored an additional goal last night when they had already reached 99 overall, even though you have done that i the past.

And on top of all this you released a 99 overall LTD card that has 99 speed/and acceleration. Why did that card get 99 speed/acceleration but the two 99 overall Fantasy Hockey cards didn't?

And why did Cozens end up having lower speed/acceleration than Lundell at 99 overall when his 80 overall base card has higher speed/acceleration than Lundell's 81 overall base card and his 85 overall card has higher speed/acceleration than Lundell's 88 overall card? None of those cards are custom builds, so how does that make any sense?

I feel like this has to be explained to us. If it is intentional that some 99 overall cards get 99 speed/acceleration and some don't, there has to be a reason for it. Yes, there is no hard rule about it as you said, but that is not enough of an explanation.
