This is probably due to a rights issue with IOC. If you look at posts in Reddit there is a screenshot with the MSPs with national jerseys on. Looks like something happened and they switched it at the last minute. If it's a rights issue, it's not really EA's fault
Would probably be the best for EA to come out and explain the situation but I don't think they ever discuss about why they do anything regarding content
