AI coaches calling timeouts too often

It seems the AI coaches are calling timeouts far too often, when it doesn't warrant a time out (it seems to happen if you score goals somewhat close together). 

I like the concept and if implemented properly it does add a good layer to the game. 

Just seems to happen far to often. 

See the attached image. A timeout was called after the 2nd goal was scored - goals were at 7:16 and 12:04. Not that close so it wouldn't fall under the 2 goals in a quick succession yo warrant a time out to rest the team being scored on (which is what I'm guessing it is thinking at this).
