Bring Back Open Public NHL Playtests/Demos

I may be uneducated on why we went away from just releasing public demos for everyone to download and play. We claim we want the public to try out the game early and give feedback but half the community who signed up can't even participate because they either didn't receive a code or they can't connect to EA's servers.

Bring back open demos where you can get the most feedback and let everyone try the game, or if you want real feedback, let the NHL influencers on social media give you feedback of their own or what they hear from their fans if EA can't correctly manage having a successfully launching a playtest.

Crazy that they broke the ability for a ton of us to even play the beta. I dont understand why they changed it after being fine for 10+ years.

That's fair. A demo could definitely help people decide if they want to buy the game. I just think playtests and demos serve different purposes, and there's probably room for both.

I get that for sure, I still think public demos could be beneficial to grow the game as well for EA NHL's sake. I always got game demos and if I enjoyed them i ended up buying the game. It definitely has it's pros and cons tho.

I get the frustration, but I still think closed playtests have value. They're meant to test specific features and gather focused feedback before launch. If there are issues with codes or server access, that's something EA should improve, but I wouldn't want to see playtests replaced entirely by public demos.
