Finishing checks

I am aware that whoever makes these hockey games has never played hockey or seen a hockey game but last year you were able to hit a guy 10 seconds after he made a pass, how did you full U TURN this year and make it to where you cant finish a check 2 seconds after a pass? PLEASE learn the sport of hockey if you are going to make a hockey game or give the rights to someone who will.

I had one hit called for interference where contact happened within the same second on the scoreclock. That said, most hits are not penalized and at least some of the obviously late hits I make have been called. It is inconsistent, at best.

They turned it arcade again and made it easier for people like you a couple patches ago. If you still have a problem, you are hitting extremely late or not paying attention and getting charging instead of interference.

And once again, there is no “give the rights” involved. Any developer can acquire the various licenses from the NHL, etc to makea game. Apparently, they don’t want to.

  • If you want to play the sport as it should be then what you are asking for is incorrect.

Rules state that finishing a check after the possession has changed.. is 0.2 to 1 second after the puck is no longer on the player, within stick distance or the check has already started.

It has never been this way in prior games, thus why players got used to late hits and deemed them okay, which is wrong under sport of hockey. This was also changed to make the window to complete the check longer after the first patch (moved up to 1.5 seconds or allowing 2 strides made before check is made).

What you are asking for is an arcade experience that only follows certain rules in the sport of hockey?
