First, EA Sports must be praised for the great job they have done designing a new goalie mask for Jokerit. Jokerit's new mask is one of the finest in the entire game.
Nowadays, when a team changes its logo, EA Sports updates the team's goalie mask. For example, when Lahti Pelicans changed its logo after the 2015-16 season, EA Sports designed a new mask for Pelicans in the NHL 17 game, just as they have later done for Frölunda HC, Bílí Tygři Liberec, and most recently Linköping HC. However, EA Sports has not done this for all teams when teams have changed their logos. For example, Liiga teams HIFK, HPK, Lukko, and TPS are examples of this. HIFK changed to its current logo after the 2007-08 season, but EA Sports has not updated the goalie mask; HIFK's current logo is not even present in any way in the mask found in the game.
HIFK has used the current logo since the 2008–09 season. ⬇️
