Why is it 2026 and the graphics for nhl 94 are better? (Joking) but come on EA the players don’t even look like players and the fans are horrendous as well. Do better EA were on the next gen console and its looking worse than a ps1 game
I think they're simply using AI to create the 'likenesses', so they end up looking like bad AI slop? Seems to be a common thread with many current/upcoming game releases, either the modellers can't do faces, or they let AI do it for them.

Some of the player faces and crowd models definitely look rough for a current-gen game. The gameplay has felt better to me, but visually there are areas that could use a lot more polish.
