First of all got to say I was happy that the Be a Pro got an overhaul...BUT seriously I wonder why some decent features of the mode were removed.- Now it seems like the ahl doesn't even exist in the mode. Now you just get scratched every other game if you play bad enough.- Playing in the chl for more than one memorial cup and with that also choosing your starting age isn't an option anymore.Someone might actually want to either play or just sim and train and develop their player to a decent overall before being drafted. - The social media/info screen got removed as well. A shame, as I found it interesting to learn about trades and contracts from there. Have to add that the AI is completely idiotic with the contracts as it seems to let all the players go to free agency.Maybe next year we'll get those back along with the option to play in europe for at least a season or two, hopefully.In addition, would be nice if there was just a possibility to go undrafted in the draft, as it seems like you'll get drafted at 160 no matter how badly you play.Currently when starting the career in europe or chl, that consumes a contract year from other players so that everyones' contract is up a year too early.And when starting straight in nhl, the player is actually 17 yo, a one year too young instead.

@EA_Joz Thank you for your work to make the game better, appreciate it.Just came up with two other things about the BAP, hopefully they'd get passed forward too:- Not sure if it's intentional, but you're not able to edit your pros skating or shooting style in 'edit player' after starting the mode, I think it should be possible.- When you reach 99 in some attribute, the xp you receive for that since then goes to waste, while some attributes are next to impossible to develop (discipline especially). Might need some option to choose where to focus the xp earned in matches, as you just can't completely change the way you play the game.Thanks!

Yeah it’s missing the junior season which is ridiculous. Why did I get drafted 160 overall as a goalie to the ducks, and being a backup to Gibson when I’m 72ovr? I went sub.900 and somehow got the starting job the next season? I played like garbage and they still started me, now a 76 ovr, more than Gibson. why?why does the game not punish you for being bad? Why can’t you get sent down to the ahl? Or back to the ohl/q/whl if you’re not ready? I was so pumped for the revamp of this mode, but I was so disappointed by taking out these vital features that not only make the game realistic, but also actually fun and rewarding

Another Feautire removed that really Ticked me off was you get drafted by the rangers like i did and your toast you have to stay there your career you cant request a trade anymore that is just unacceptable you are making a game realistic yet the team your drafted to from the memorial cup is prison if you dont want to play there cause there is no way to goto were you want to play

@EA_Joz I'll just continue with the player development here instead of a new thread:- Instead of the weekly training asking to confirm every selection, it would be better so that you'd dirst add the number of training sessions you want to assign for each attribute, and just press "confirm all" in the end.- Instead of the weekly development report popping up to the whole screen every week, it should be visible all the time. For example on the right side on the main screen and just changing with RS which individual attributes you want to check out. With the same fluidity you can now check out the line score or challenges.-Juat to highlight: here is literally little to no use for knowing which "level" your shooting etc is, the info on the individual attributes just is the important one.The way the first two function currently makes you spend too much time on the menus and confirming everything all the time.I think that would be less heavy for the system to work with * well, as it seems like the game slows down the more you play.

@SkylerJames13 yeah the game seems like it's heavily scripted in that regard, not a fan of that either.
And the simming penalty doen't seem to work really, as a skater with that "on" I think you should get like 0-point games, instead of getting 3-point games which I got recently, and by simming when "off" maybe same level as you personally play.
I was trying that to not get drafted 1st or 2nd overall as I didn't want to end up in nyr or lak, and didn't seem to be able to play badly enough

Yeah one of the mods on here even said that the mode is intended to make us a superstar no matter what. We are made out to be a superstar from the beginning and you don’t even have to try and prove yourself, as the game coddles you and holds your hand so that you become the best no matter what.

its pretty lame. Takes out all the fun and sense of accomplishment and reward out of the game since everything is just handed to you on a silver platter

Any update on this? It’s been 4 years and BAP is getting worse and worse. BAP is the only reason I buy the game and I see no reason to continue when 20 is the one I’m still playing. I’ve bought every single year since I was 11 years old. Kinda heart breaking to be the end of an era.

Please update be a pro. I've been playing this mode since release in 08. It's been super fun but the last few years have just been so disappointing. I'm tired of being drafted 1st overall and being spoken about like I'm the next generational player yet I'm like 70 overall. I'm playing goalie now, challenging in the memorial cup, but way too difficult in the NHL, and I can't even be sent down. I miss being able to play full seasons in the CHL to actually level up my player. The conversations where my player has to say things like I'm loving my time in this league is frustrating because realistically, I should not be playing in the NHL. This year is the first time I'm passing on buying the new release. Mainly because be a pro has been the exact same since NHL 20, and partly because it's still not being released on PC. Gamepass is cool for NHL 24, but it's not the same.
All I want for Christmas is a decent be a pro mode.
