Can't play! Stuck on title screen ( press X )

I am unable to get past the title screen of Auston Matthews with the ( press X ) flashing. I press X and nothing happens. My controller is fine because I use the X button in the playstation menu screens. I just installed the updates to the game last night, would the update be the issue?

    Hi there, @memezebra 

    Do you have anything plugged into the USB ports on your console? If so, try unplugging them and try getting past this screen again. Let me know what happens. Thanks!

    Why does it happen though do you know the answer why does the game get bugs on USB ports

    I turned off my console and turned it back on then the problem was solved!

    Hello! 
    I’m hoping you can help me I’m also not able to get passed the screen where it says press X to start. I didn’t have anything plugged in & i tried restarting the router & ps5 too but nothing worked 😖

    Are you playing NHL 22? Just wanted to make sure which game you're playing since NHL 22 is a couple years old now.
