Update on my end, I got Xbox series x and downloaded the game and using the same Xbox elite controller I've played the game for a few weeks now and it does not happen at all on the next-gen version. I think this bug is in the current-gen version of the game, I didn't realize it until I had played for over a week and hit my controller before a face-off while using Matt Sundin got the too early warning that I realized that the bug is non-existent in the next-gen version of the game. I played every game of solo battles 35+games and probably 10-20 rivals games and it does not happen.
I can say with all confindence is real, I don't care what anyone says, using the same exact controller on current-gen I get errors when taking backhand faceoffs with right-handers and it does not happen at all on next-gen. I also played a few games at my buddy's house (current-gen Xbox) and the same old problem is still in the game.
This cross-platform game coding has to be difficult and is creating problems unique to this challenge of creating a game. The Xbox series x has a GPU with 12 teraflops vs Xbox one's 1.4 teraflops, the two machines are going to process player input differently and that difference is going to cause some problems, my guess is that this is one of those problems.
Thanks for those details. This is interesting because we have a high number of players on Xbox One/PS4 that aren't experiencing this issue. Personally, I play on both consoles, but the majority of my time on NHL is on an Xbox One X and I have never had this happen. It's definitely something we'll keep an eye out for. It's good to hear this has been resolved for you. If anything else comes up, please let us know.
